How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you are ready to make improvements in your life, then therapy can benefit you. It can be challenging to start, but I'll meet you wherever you are on your journey.
What ages do you see?
I see adolescents and adults.
What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a specialized type of therapy for trauma or negative thought patterns, that helps you get un-stuck from the symptoms. I completed the training in 2009, and completed the higher level of certification. I am able to use EMDR with children and adults. To learn more about EMDR go to www.emdria.org
Are you experienced with LGBTQIA+ issues?
Yes! I am an open and affirming therapist. I encourage you to come to therapy as you are and you will be accepted as your authentic self. I also have experience working with people who are in the process of transitioning.
What are your hours?
I typically have sessions from 9am to 2pm. This changes slightly during the summer months.
How much does therapy cost?
I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Cigna, and Sisco/QCCH insurance. Your portion of payment depends on your set copay, coinsurance, and deductible. You are encouraged to check on your mental health benefits ahead of time. I will file the claim with your insurance.
If you have other insurance, you can pay for the services and then file with your insurance for Out Of Network benefits.
If you choose not to use insurance I accept payment out of pocket.
If you are paying out of pocket and not using insurance, you have a right to a Good Faith Estimate, as required by the No Surprises Act of 2022.
